Create a new sound and/or music for a selected short film! Join the European Talent Competition in the categories filmscore (WDR Filmscore Award) and sound design! Win a one day recording session with the Radio Orchestra of the Western German Radio in Cologne, a two day final mix down in a famous Sound Studio in Germany, sound libraries and sound designer tools that will help you to gain ground in professional business. Show your skills and create a new sound track / sound design for the short film offered by SoundTrack_Cologne below!

Submitted SoundTracks have to present the best possible solution to serve the narration and the images of the film.

Aesthetics could be realistic to experimental, a mixture of both. Your own style. Musical genres could be everything from minimal electro pop or electronic downtempo jazz to the big orchestral score. Everything is possible. The jury will not exclusively prefer orchestral scores! Attendees have to find their own way of adding a sound(track) that helps the film to gain a new (but fitting) aesthetical dimension. We advise the competitors to work together as a team consisting of composers and sound designers. But this is not a must. The past competitions have shown that results of teamwork have got the best chances to win.
