After studying Film and Photography at the HfG Offenbach, Christian Frisch worked for over a decade as a freelance art director for interactive and audiovisual media. He then coordinated and led projects in the fields of e-commerce as well as in communication and digital agencies.

Since 2021, he has headed the Transformation Office at the HfBK–Städelschule in Frankfurt, where he is responsible for coordinating digital and transformation projects within the university and fostering connections with partner institutions.

His current projects at the Städelschule include Digital Perspectives (since 2024), a joint initiative of the Hessian art universities to support digital art and media practices; Digital Practice / Sound (2022–2025), a pilot project for digital sound production as part of the Hessian Digital Pact; and Long-Term Availability at Hessian Universities (2022–2024), focusing on video data preservation. Mr. Frisch has also led projects such as Another Night in Daimler (2023) and the Städelschule Anthology (2022), both presenting new media works developed at the university.
