Applications are now open for Berlinale Talents 2021.
Berlinale Talents is aimed at emerging filmmakers and series creators who have made at least two or more shorts, a feature film or a high-quality series that have screened internationally. Creating access to films, both in local communities and online, has never been more important. They are now inviting emerging curators and founders of audience-centred cinema spaces and VOD platforms to apply as "audience designers".
At Berlinale Talents, they are working on creating a safe edition in February 2021 that will hopefully be able to welcome everybody to Berlin. In order to react flexibly to shifting circumstances while upholding their core values of inclusion and diversity, they plan to expand their digital offerings and partnerships to reach participants and audiences who might not be able to attend in person. With this call for entries, they'd like to encourage interested talents to keep working with them towards a future where film connects and unites people.
