Under the motto »A Book is a Film is a Game«, the Frankfurter Buchmesse will once again gather professionals from the world of books, film, games and new media on Thursday, 11 October 2018, at THE ARTS+. An exclusive program will provide insights into the particular markets, and champion the adaptation and the crossmedia co-production business.

This year’s programme is dedicated to new trends and developments in audio-visual storytelling, including a special focus on series based on books.The networking day is tailored to meet the needs of film and tv producers, new media experts like VR, AR or mixed reality professionals and games representatives, as well as agents, rights and licensing managers from the publishing industry.Besides inspiring keynotes and case studies, the programme provides exclusive matchmaking sessions, as well as a pitching event dedicated to books deemed appropriate for possible serial adaption.The PROGRAMME culminates in the presentation of the winners of the Frankfurter Buchmesse Film Awards 2018.

FRANKFURTER BUCHMESSE FILM AWARDS:WHAT’S THE BEST CHILDREN’S FILM BASED ON A BOOK IN 2018?

With the aim to honor outstanding adaptation projects, the Frankfurter Buchmesse launched the Frankfurter Buchmesse Film Awards in 2004. The prize is awarded in three categories.  The submission process for the best adaptation of a book for children or young adults category is now open.

Submission deadline is 20 July 2018!

To submit your children’s movie, film or series, please complete the attached form and send it to film@book-fair.com. All further information can be found on the website.
