Buoyed by last year's successful first edition of the "3 Days in
Cannes - 3 Jours à Cannes" initiative, the Festival de Cannes is running
the programme again in 2019 and further developing it. On two
occasions, between 15-17th May and 23-25th May, 18-28 years old film
enthusiasts from all over the world will be invited to come and discover
the films from the Official Selection.
In 2018, the new
"3 Days in Cannes - 3 Jours à Cannes" pass enabled more than 1,700 young
attendees - whose enthusiasm was matched only by their passion for
cinema - to experience the 71st edition of the Festival. This year, the
Festival is renewing and continuing the development of this initiative,
dedicated to its mission of sharing and passing on its love for cinema,
while also keeping in mind planning for the future and showcasing films
on the big screen.
What is it? A 3-Days pass giving access to
the Official Selection (Competition, Out of Competition, Special
Screenings, Un Certain Regard, Cannes Classics, Cinéma de la Plage) and
to the Palais des Festivals, as well as a dedicated programme at Les
Arcades cinemas for the final three days.
Who is it for? Passionate cinema lovers from all nationalities and backgrounds aged between 18 and 28.
When
is it? From Wednesday 15th May to Friday 17th May 2019 (accreditations
can be collected from Tuesday 14th May) or from Thursday 23rdMay to
Saturday 25th May (accreditations can be collected from Wednesday 22nd
May).
How to participate? Be between 18 and 28 years old and describe your passion for cinema in writing!
