In 2025, the hFMA invites you to take part in pitch workshops with renowned trainer Sibylle Kurz. This time, the workshop will take place at the HfMDK!

    Date:

08 and 09 May 2025
    From 10:00 to 18:00 o'clock.

    Place:

Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst (HfMDK)

To participate, you must bring your own idea, concept, or (theoretical) project in order to develop the next steps in a practical and focused way. The aim is to uncover the core motivation of your project, identify its strengths and weaknesses, and learn how to present it effectively. With Sibylle Kurz, you will practice precisely that—and receive valuable feedback from the trainer and fellow participants, along with inspiring tips and techniques. More information about Sibylle Kurz (in German) here.

    Workshop Content:

In the two-day workshop "Pitch it! The Art of Selling Projects Successfully", students work on refining their presentation skills and developing their individual artistic voice. Under the guidance of renowned communication coach Sibylle Kurz, project ideas are sharpened and key communication strategies are explored. Participants practice their pitches both in group settings and in one-on-one sessions. Held at the BAtanz space of the HfMDK Frankfurt, the workshop is open to up to 12 students from various disciplines. It encourages interdisciplinary exchange—for example, how dance students translate movement concepts into language, or how students from theatre, film, and media studies use body language in their presentations. The workshop culminates in a presentation of results, open to the broader hFMA network. Due to the international composition of participants, the workshop will be held in English.

    Registration Deadline:

28 April 2024 via the online form. Limited spots available.

    Required Project Documents:

    • Cover letter explaining your motivation to participate in the workshop
    • CV
    • Project information (content, current development status, and artistic implementation – max. 2 pages)
    • Thematic letter of motivation for the project
    • Commitment to participate in all workshop dates
    • Optional: representative KeyArt as cover material
